The game was officially released in South Korea on 24 January 2021, in North America on 5 May 2021, and in Europe on 6 May 2021. The total release date is now scheduled for a Fall 2021 release in Japan. The storyline of the game is set in post-apocalyptic London. The player takes on the role of a newly awakened mutant called “Wolverine” who lives in an alternate version of our world, the city of Boston.
The initial concept of the game is that Wolverine is on a quest to find his brother, but he gets lost in the process. He has been captured and is held prisoner deep within the sewers of London. The city is under attack by a massive virus known as “eller”. Wolverine must battle through enemy forces and rescue his brother while battling against the virus himself. Players can choose from various fictional characters such as Professor X, Magneto, or Storm in this game.
Throughout the course of the game, players have access to various weapons and armor. Each weapon creates different effects when used, depending on the setting or desired effect. When the game is in progress, one’s Wolverine can not use most of the available weapons and armor. Certain powers are only obtainable when leveling up.
In addition to using weapons and armor in the game, the character possesses a number of special abilities that are unique to him/her only. This allows the player to create a more personal experience, as their own Wolverine. These abilities include gaining the abilities of healing and speed.
As the game progresses, players will also be allowed to purchase new skills, which will give them a real advantage over the enemies. Special skills include Stasis, which slows down all opponents on screen, leaving them open to attack. Mastermind is another skill that allows the player to manipulate every other player on screen. This gives the player an upper hand in the battle, as they can easily control multiple players at the same time. Furthermore, Stasis is capable of inflicting damage on itself and its opponents.
Another exciting aspect of the game is the background scenery. It looks amazingly realistic, as the city is filled with alleyways, rooftops, and towers. The computer game is constantly under attack by Magneto. This causes the skyline to change constantly. During a battle, the background will shift and become much more dramatic.
